Required for September 2017

A rare and remarkable opportunity that will change your career.

Working as part of The GORSE Academies Trust, The Ruth Gorse Academy will ensure that students receive an outstanding education that focuses on aspiration, high expectations and personalisation. Together these non-negotiable values will instil in young people a self-belief that enables students to access the highest standard of higher educational provision and employment. We believe that poverty and deprivation should in no way limit either the quality of a young person’s educational experience or the levels of achievement to which those students are able to rise.

Due to our expansion of cohort size, we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspirational Curriculum Leader of Computer Science to join The Ruth Gorse Academy from September 2017, ensuring that it becomes a truly outstanding establishment. The successful candidate will be an inspirational teacher who can demonstrate passion and integrity and a strong record of effective practice.

This is an important role in the academy’s development and the successful candidate, with support from the leadership team, will play an integral role in the creation and delivery of an exciting Computer Science curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is keen to be at the forefront of our organisational change. The GORSE Academies Trust continues to demonstrate exceptional opportunities for the students within the Trust. Recently, Hillcrest Academy joined The Morley Academy and The Farnley Academy in being rated as Outstanding in all categories in their inspections’; we are determined to see The Ruth Gorse Academy achieve the same.

The Ruth Gorse Academy is an 11–16, co-educational academy that will continue to grow each year to a maximum cohort of 1250 students in 2020.
