Morley Newlands Academy

Morley Newlands Academy, (formally Morley Newlands Primary School), situated in South Leeds, joined The GORSE Academies Trust in March 2015. Its children bring a range of experiences; they are eager to learn and a delight to be with. Morley Newlands Academy is an oversubscribed three form entry school- now one of the largest primary schools within the Yorkshire and Humber region.

In September 2014 the school moved from an old, run down building to new state of the art accommodation, with excellent facilities to support children, their families and the local community.

We are immensely proud that, in its inspection of January 2018, Morley Newlands Academy was judged to be Outstanding in all areas. In October 2024, the academy was re-inspected and judged to have ‘maintained standards’ as an Outstanding provider.

The school has developed an exciting science specialism. As part of this, the academy benefits from a fully equipped science laboratory that allows pupils to engage in captivating and exciting science lessons across the three science disciplines.

Morley Newlands Academy was officially awarded World Class Schools status in October 2019 and reaccredited in November 2021.
