It is with great pleasure that The GORSE Academies Trust invites you to join us for what we believe will be one of the most exciting and important continuing professional development days in the north of England this year.
On Thursday June 28 we invite you to join us in Leeds for a day which might change everything. Based at The Royal Armouries and our immediately adjacent Outstanding free school, The Ruth Gorse Academy, the day will bring together some of the country’s leading educational thinkers as well as providing the opportunity to explore in detail the work of The GORSE Academies Trust.
The GORSE Academies Trust has overseen the transformation of Inadequate schools to Outstanding status within 3 years in both primary and secondary education. Equally impressively, out of seven inspections, six have received Outstanding outcomes including our SCITT provision (GORSE SCITT). The trust approach to Post 16 education is receiving national attention following its remarkable results in 2017, placing Elliott Hudson College as the 4th highest performing college in the country and top in the Yorkshire and Humber region for A-Level performance. We have also embarked on an exciting journey in alternative provision where we seek to provide a combination of intensive personal support and rigorous academic standards for students who learn best in an environment which is not mainstream.
Our continuing professional development day is focused on ‘Transforming Schools’ and includes a number of keynote speakers, including Sir John Townsley (CEO), Claire Gadsby and our main keynote speech by Tim Oates CBE, who has undertaken wide-ranging international comparison of the performance of education systems, and has advised OECD on its curriculum review work.
In addition to the Transforming Schools Leadership Day, The GORSE Academies Trust also run a variety of sessions suitable for a wide range of colleagues. We would welcome external delegates to join us also, if you would like further information on these sessions please contact email@example.com.
